Taxonomy
Zhuravlevia insperata was named by Doguzhaeva (1994). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hokodz River Basin, Caucasus, which is in an Aptian deep subtidal shelf limestone/sandstone in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Zhuravlevia.
