Taxonomy
Cerithiopsis vilsundensis was named by Schnetler et al. (2024). Its type specimen is NHMD 1177238 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vilsund 2, which is in a Chattian marine sandstone in the Brejning Formation of Denmark.
