Dianops kaufmannii

Taxonomy
Dianops kaufmannii was named by Basse and Lemke (2023) [= ? pt 1926 Phacops (Dianops) anophthalmus – Richter & Richter: 196 (“Apricke” site only). = v 2000b Dianops anophthalmus – Feist et al.: 526–527, pl. 4, fig. 49a–b, pl. 5, figs 50–52. = v pt 2020 Dianops anophthalmus – Basse & Lemke: Tab. 1 (Apricke D site only).]. Its type specimen is SMF 57498, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oese section, topmost 35 cm, which is in a Famennian carbonate limestone in the Wocklum Limestone Formation of Germany.
