Taxonomy
Pilletopeltis albertii was named by Pribyl and Vanek (1984). Its type specimen is NM, L 20257, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Crotalocephalus albertii by Lemke (2020).
