Carodnia karuen
Taxonomy
Carodnia karuen was named by Gelfo et al. (2024). Its type specimen is MLP-PV 90-II-12-121, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cerro Redondo, c. 37 m above the "Banco Verde" , which is in a Danian terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Peñas Coloradas Formation of Argentina.
