T. Ando et al. 2024Pakudyptes is smaller than all other previously described penguin taxa except Eudyptula and Eretiscus. It differs from those penguins in having the following characters: bipartition of tricipital fossa is incomplete, shaft of humerus is narrow and straight with craniocaudally thick proximal portion, insertion scar for m. supracoracoideus is short and running parallel to the long axis of humerus, olecranon of ulna is round and tab-like.
