Taxonomy
Vacunella curvata ornata was named by Waterhouse (1969). Its type specimen is TM 3831, a valve, and it is a mold. Its type locality is GS7811, Letham Burn (D44/f9882), which is in a Capitanian marine horizon in the Mangarewa Formation of New Zealand.
