Taxonomy
Arctocephalites callomoni was named by Frebold (1964). Its type specimen is GSC 17647, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 51628, Strand Fiord, Axel Heiberg Island, which is in a Bathonian marine siliciclastic in the McConnell Island Formation of Canada.
