Taxonomy
Antaganides sauvageti was named by Branger (2024). Its type specimen is MBAN 2023.PB.N64, a shell, and it is a mold. Its type locality is Banc Pourri, A83 highway trench at Viaduc de l’Égray, Sainte-Ouenne, which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in France.
