Taxonomy
Coahuilasaurus lipani was named by Longrich et al. (2024). It is not extant. Its type specimen is IGM 6685. Its type locality is Presa San Antonio, which is in a Campanian terrestrial mudstone in the Cerro del Pueblo Formation of Mexico.
