Taxonomy
Trigonia neuquensis was named by Burckhardt (1903). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Steinmanella (Transitrigonia) neuquensis by Leanza (1993); it was recombined as Steinmanella neuquensis by Luci and Lazo (2012); it was recombined as Garatella neuquensis by Cooper and Leanza (2017).
