Taxonomy
Buntonia parasemitecta was named by Carbonnel and Johnson (1989). Its type specimen is FSL 136411, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is W5 well, 76 m depth, which is in a Thanetian carbonate limestone in Togo.
