Taxonomy
Scapanorhynchus temiricus was named by Zhelezko (1988). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kubley river, outcrop 65, bed 2 (upper, sample 65/j), which is in a Santonian marine siliciclastic in the Koldenen-Temir Formation of Kazakhstan.
