Gnathophis quinzioi
Taxonomy
Gnathophis quinzioi was named by Schwarzhans and Nielsen (2021). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is SGO.PV.1601, an otolith, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Punta Perro south (PPS), which is in a Miocene coastal sandstone in the Navidad Formation of Chile.

Sulcus with wavy ventral margin, its ostium reaching close to anterior-dorsal rim of otolith with short vertical ostial channel. OL:SuL = 1.5–1.9. Sulcus inclination angle 6–10°.
