Taxonomy
Nautilus convergens was named by Abich (1878). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Araxes Gorge, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in Azerbaijan.
It was synonymized subjectively with Nautilus parallelus by Arthaber (1900); it was recombined as Domatoceras convergens by Korn and Ghaderi (2025).
