Taxonomy
Synbathocrinus shackletoni was named by Webster et al. (2025). Its type specimen is ONHM F-1502, a calyx, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is WKJ-2, Wadi Khawr Al Jaramah, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in Oman.
