Taxonomy
Triarthrus novoaustralis was named by Smith et al. (2024). Its type specimen is MMF 47648B, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Charleville Road, Canobolas State Forest, which is in a Bolindian offshore shelf siltstone in the Malachis Hill Formation of Australia.
