Steganoposaurus belli

Taxonomy
Steganoposaurus belli was named by Branson and Mehl (1932). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UM 595 VP and is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Sheep Mountain, near Lander, which is in a Pennsylvanian terrestrial sandstone in the Tensleep Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Steganoposaurus.
