Taxonomy
Pasithea laevigata was named by Lea (1843). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Dave Weeks place, Coon Creek, which is in a Campanian coastal sandstone in the Ripley Formation of Tennessee.
It was recombined as Eulima leavigata by Wade (1926); it was recombined as Eulima laevigata by Martin (1904), Kosnik (2002).
