Taxonomy
Juxtamusium was named by Iredale (1939) [m. kosnik taxon no: 8306]. It is extant. Its type is Pecten (Chlamys) coudeini.

It was assigned to Pectinidae by Lamprell and Whitehead (1992); and to Decatopectinini by Dijkstra and Kilburn (2001).
