Colpodontosaurus cracens
Taxonomy
Colpodontosaurus cracens was named by Estes (1964). Its type specimen is UCMP 46608, a mandible (incomplete left dentary with three broken bases and 12 vacant alveoli), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lull 2 Quarry (UCMP V-5620), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Lance Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Colpodontosaurus.
