It was assigned to Alethinophidia by Augé and Rage (2006); to Alethinophidia by Vidal and Hedges (2002), Szyndlar et al. (2008); to Macrostomata by Wilcox et al. (2002), Longrich et al. (2012); to Serpentes by Vianey-Liaud et al. (2014); and to Booidea by Cernansky et al. (2015).
