Sanpasaurus yaoi

Taxonomy
Sanpasaurus yaoi was named by Young (1944). Its type specimen is IVPP V156A, a set of vertebrae (Three dorsal vertebrae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 1, Changshanling, Potzewan, which is in a Toarcian terrestrial horizon in the Ziliujing Formation of China. It is the type species of Sanpasaurus.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Weishampel and Horner (1990).

C.-C. Young 1944A Camptosaurus closely related to Iguanodontidae. Vertebrae massive, sacrum apparently not fused. Anterior limbs comparatively long. Scapula with the distal end rather thin. Ulna and radius long and slender. The former is only slightly longer than the latter. The ulna and radius facets of the humerus are not quite differentiated. Femur and fibula are tiny. The end phalanx curved and depressed.
