It was synonymized subjectively with Emmericia by Vaught et al. (1989); it was reranked as Hydrobia (Tournoueria) by Pacaud and Le Renard (1995).

It was assigned to Hydrobia by Pacaud and Le Renard (1995); and to Rissoidae by Nützel and Kiessling (1997).
