Taxonomy
Ninella was named by Missarzhevsky and Mambetov (1981) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1006]. It is not extant. Its type is Ninella serebrjannikovae.

It was assigned to Tommotiidae by Landing (1984); to Mitrosagophora by Sepkoski (2002); to Halwaxida by Conway Morris and Caron (2007); and to Lapworthellidae by Skovsted et al. (2009).
