Taxonomy
Pseudozygopleura (Pseudozygopleura) pupa was named by Knight (1930) [Pseudozygopleura (Pseudozygopleura) pupa Knight 1930]. It is not extant. Its type locality is SL-1. Headwaters of Feefee Creek, north of Olive St. & west of Lindberg Blvd., 1.5 km northwest of Stratmann (Olivette), which is in a Moscovian offshore shale in the Appanoose Formation of Missouri.
It was recombined as Pseudozygopleura pupus by Yochelson and Saunders (1967); it was recombined as Spiromphalus pupa by Hoare (1980); it was recombined as Pseudozygopleura pupa by Kues and Batten (2001), Wagner (2023).
