Pseudozygopleura (Stephanozyga) granda was named by Kues and Batten (2001) [Pseudozygopleura (Stephanozyga) granda Kues & Batten 2001]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Talpa, which is in a Desmoinesian delta front shale/sandstone in the Flechado Formation of New Mexico.
