Taxonomy
Euomphalus sculptus was named by de Sowerby and Murchison (1839) [Euomphalus sculptus de Sowerby in Murchison 1839]. It is not extant.

It was recombined as Oriostoma globosum sculptum by Lindström (1884); it was recombined as Poleumita sculptum by Manten (1971); it was recombined as Oriostoma sculpta by Wagner (2023).
