| J. D. Longstaff 1924 | Shell discoidal, spire deeply, base more or less sunk. The whorls number about five, coiled on nearly the same plane, in contact, acutely angular above, subangular below, sloping obliquely inwards to the suture from both angles, outer ,side slightly convex and nearly vertical. A groove on the inner ~ide, below the upper angle, gives rise to the appearance of a strong thread on the summit. Lines of growth indistinctly preserved, apparently running back to the angle above, forming a sinus upon it and curving slightly forward below. Traces of fine spiral lines ornamenting the surface. Aperture triangular, acutely angular and greatly raised above, less produced and moderately angular below. |
