Taxonomy
Polytropis assidua was named by Perner (1903) [Polytropis assidua Barrande in Perner 1903]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dvorce, Praha - PodolĂ­, which is in a Sheinwoodian carbonate limestone in the Liten Formation of the Czech Republic.

It was recombined as Oriostoma assidua by Wagner (2023).
