Raphistoma vaginati was named by Koken and Perner (1925). It is not extant. It is the type species of Climacoraphistoma.
It was recombined as Pararaphistoma (Climacoraphistoma) vaginati by Vostokova (1955), Yochelson (1982); it was recombined as Pararaphistoma vaginati by Wagner (1999).
