It was assigned to Leptochitoninae by Pacaud and Le Renard (1995); to Lepidopleuridae by Berry (1922), Beesley (1998), Wells and Houston (2001); to Neoloricata by Sepkoski (2002); and to Leptochitonidae by Squires and Goedert (1995), Zalvide et al. (2004), Schwabe and Lozouet (2006), Wu and Lee (2024).
