Diploconula was named by Yochelson (1956) [Sepkoski's age data: P Leon Sepkoski's reference number: 797]. It is not extant. Its type is Diploconula biconvexa.
It was assigned to Omphalotrochidae by Knight et al. (1960), Morris and Cleevely (1981), Linsley and Kier (1984); to Euomphalina by Sepkoski (2002); and to Anomphalidae by Wagner (2023).
