Amblysiphonella bullifera was named by Senowbari-Daryan and Rigby (1988) [Thin sections T/2/3/4 and T/2/3/5]. Its type specimen is USNM 427282 and is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Rahbahthalamia bullifera by Weidlich and Senowbari-Daryan (1996).
