Taxonomy
Beraunia was named by Knight (1937) [Sepkoski's age data: S Ludl D Give Sepkoski's reference number: 362]. It is not extant. Its type is Cyclotropis docens.

It was assigned to Oriostomatidae by Knight et al. (1960), Linsley and Kier (1984); and to Archaeogastropoda by Sepkoski (2002).
