Taxonomy
Voluta junonia was named by Lamark (1804) [HISTORY: Type species of Scaphella Swainson 1832 by subsequent designation, Gray 1847. Also type of Maculopeplum Dall 1906 by original designation [Vokes 1998].]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Maculopeplum junonia by Dall (1906); it was recombined as Scaphella junonia by Gray (1847), Hendy et al. (2008).
