Taxonomy
Enginia djanpolati was named by de Bruijn and von Koenigswald (1994). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MTA Ke-unnumbered, maxilla sin. with M1-M2, a maxilla. Its type locality is Keseköy, which is in a MN 3 lacustrine claystone/coal in Türkiye.

H. de Bruijn and W. von Koenigswald 1994Enginia djanpolati is a medium-sized representative of the genus. The protolophule of the M1 and the M2 is complete, but the metalophule is weak or absent. The anterior arm of the protocone of the M2 is strong and ends freely in the anterl-labial valley.
