Taxonomy
Pseudocordylodon vireti was named by Hürzeler (1944). Its type specimen is NMB As 152, a mandible (mand sin. c-p1, p4-m2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Saulcet, which is in a MN 1 terrestrial horizon in France.
