Eocuculus cherpinae
Taxonomy
Eocuculus cherpinae was named by Chandler (1999). Its type specimen is DM 10682/10683, a partial skeleton ( slab and counter slab consisting of a partial associated skeleton (missing the head) with feather impressions), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Clare Ranch, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Florissant Formation of Colorado. It is the type species of Eocuculus.
