Taxonomy
Macoma conradi was named by Dall (1900) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene; Atlantic Coastal Plain.]. Its type specimen is USNM 144475, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Macoma virginiana conradi by Gardner (1943).
