Cordylodon haslachensis

Taxonomy
Cordylodon haslachensis was named by von Meyer (1859). Its type specimen is SMNS 3960, a mandible (Mandible dext. with c and p3-m2), and it is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Cordylodon.

Ziegler 1990Cordylodon-Art mit folgender mandibular Zahnformel: ? 1 3 2; p3 klein, einwurzelig, liegt genau vor dem p4; p4 schwach exoedaenodont, mäßig amblyodont, ohne Vorderlappen und Hinterinnenhügel, höher als m inf; m1 stark exoedaenodont, mäßig amblyodont, Paraconid lingual; m2 mit reduziertem Talonid; For. mentale unter Mitte/Vorderwuzel des m1; Unterkiefersymphyse nicht verwachsen.
