Waagenites dichotoma
Taxonomy
Chonetes dichotoma was named by Waagen (1884). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Katwahi, Middle Productus-limestone, Salt Range (Wynne coll), which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Wargal Formation of Pakistan.
It was recombined as Chonetes (Dienerella) dichotoma by Reed (1944); it was recombined as Waagenites dichotoma by Clapham (2015).
