Globigerina quadrilobata was named by d'Orbigny (1846). It is not extant.
It was recombined as Globigerinoides quadrilobatus by Kennett and Srinivasan (1983); it was recombined as Trilobatus quadrilobatus by Spezzaferri et al. (2018), Fraass et al. (2024).

D. d'Orbigny 1846 | Test low trochospiral, chambers spherical three and a half to four chambers in the final whorl increasing moderately in size as added; sutures on both spiral and umbilical sides slightly curved and depressed; surface distinctly cancellate, umbilicus narrow, primary aperture interiomarginal, umbilical, a distinct arch bordered by a rim. The last few chambers show one supplementary aperture opposite the primary aperture. |
