It was recombined as Pecten (Chlamys) wattsi etchegoini by Arnold (1909); it was recombined as Pecten (Pallium) swiftii etchegoini by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Chlamys etchegoini by Woodring et al. (1940); it was recombined as Chlamys parmeleei etchegoini by Woodring and Bramlette (1950); it was recombined as Pecten (Swiftopecten) etchegoini by Faustman (1964); it was recombined as Swiftopecten parmeleei etchegoini by Moore (1984).
