Rastelligera acutissima

Taxonomy
Spiriferina acutissima was named by Trechmann (1917). It is not extant. Its type locality is Mount Heslington, which is in a Carnian marine horizon in New Zealand.

It was recombined as Rastelligera acutissima by Campbell (1968).

J. Campbell 1968Markedly alate shells with about 18 strong costae, the first pair being the
moot acutely angled of any in the genus. Denticulation of the ventral hinge-line probably along half its length. Dental lamellae well developed, convergent, not quite conjoined.
