Desmatosuchus spurensis
Taxonomy
Desmatosuchus spurensis was named by Case (1920). Its type specimen is UMMP 7476, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is east bank of Blanco River, which is in a Carnian/Norian crevasse splay claystone/claystone in the Tecovas Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Desmatosuchus.
It was synonymized subjectively with Desmatosuchus haplocerus by Long and Murry (1995).
