Pseudarchaster motutaraensis
Taxonomy
Pseudarchaster motutaraensis was named by Eagle (1999). Its type specimen is AK72834, an other, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Q11/f0041, Powell Bay [Nihotupu Fm], which is in an Altonian deep-water sandstone in the Nihotupu Formation of New Zealand.

Paxillae crowns weakly enlarged with numerous, small irregular patterned granules. Fasciolar grooves shallow. Superomarginals varying from wider than long in the interbrachial arc to longer than wide near the arm tip. External face convex to flat. Ornament of dense granules, larger in medial part of the plate. Inferomarginals wider than superomarginals. |
