Taxonomy
Pecten cosibensis was named by Yokoyama (1911) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene; Japan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Chlamys cosibensis by Hatai and Nomura (1952); it was recombined as Chlamys (Chlamys) cosibensis by MacNeil (1967), Kafanov et al. (2001).
