Pecten (Chlamys) meisensis was named by Makiyama (1926) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Japan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Chlamys (Mimachlamys) meisensis by Kafanov et al. (2001); it was recombined as Chlamys meisensis by Ogasawara (2001); it was recombined as Mimachlamys meisensis by Hendy (2007).
