Palasterina antiqua
Taxonomy
Asterias antiqua was named by Hisinger (1837). Its type specimen is Mineralogical Museum, Copenhagen, Holotype 306 and is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Lindstromaster antiqua by Gregory (1899), Schöndorf (1910); it was recombined as Lindstromaster antiquus by Schuchert (1915); it was recombined as Palasterina antiqua by Spencer (1922), Owen (1965), Spencer and Wright (1966), Dean Shackleton (2005), Lewis et al. (2007).
It was recombined as Lindstromaster antiqua by Gregory (1899), Schöndorf (1910); it was recombined as Lindstromaster antiquus by Schuchert (1915); it was recombined as Palasterina antiqua by Spencer (1922), Owen (1965), Spencer and Wright (1966), Dean Shackleton (2005), Lewis et al. (2007).
